In Your Corner

Today I want to give a shout-out to my coaches, who have helped me move through some of the rawest parts of my life. Each of them has a remarkable quality that seems to balance beautifully together.

The shadow work I've been able to move through over the past eight months would not have happened without my life/ business coach Rob Reynosa. I've talked about him before, and it's crazy to look back on how we established working together. During our first session together, I frantically was trying to get it together and completely broke down into tears. And without really knowing me yet, he threw his plan out the window and walked me through some lingering pain points from 2008 that I didn't even know were still there.

In our short time together, he also helped me work through the mental and emotional confusion of the past two years. Layer by layer, we keep digging for the limiting beliefs that rear their ugly (yet beautiful) heads so I can freely express myself boldly and honestly. Having Rob in my corner is life-changing.

Also, since the beginning of the year, I've been a part of a Mastermind with my friend and coach, Lizzy Richardson. We meet once a week, and the amount of support from the group of women that Lizzy put together is priceless. We laugh, cheer, cry, face our fears, feel energized and hold a beautiful space for each other to be vulnerable. Not to mention Lizzy's ability to hold a special energetic container for all perspectives without judgment is one of a kind. She has taught me so much about unconditional love in very humanistic and tangible ways. And it's been very healing to be a part of this community of ladies after feeling alone and abandoned by friends and family over the past two years. 

Alongside my work with Rob and Lizzy, I'm working with a book writing coach Sandra Rodriguez Bicknell to finally accomplish a dream I've had for over ten years. (Thank you, Rob, for the introduction!) When we initially met, I had huge hangups over the amount of money I needed to invest in my dream. Then, she recommended the book "Busting Loose from the Money Game," which not only shifted my outlook on money but also transformed how Life works. From there, I was able to have the courage to move forward with her. And her method of creating is one of the smoothest processes I've ever been guided through. To think I put off writing this book so I could find Sandra to help me birth this dream is mindblowing. The whole process, I am asked to use my intuition and go with my instincts instead of overthinking, "Am I doing this right? I don't know if this is going to work." Yet here I am in the middle of writing a book, feeling excited and ready to allow my heart to express itself. I'm in literal awe.

I share all of this because when I decided nine years ago to hire my first life coach through Tony Robbins, I had no idea how transformative that one little decision would have on my life as a whole. I quickly realized I didn't have to go through life carrying all of my pain alone. Instead, I could have people in my corner who truly wanted me to win and keep me lovingly accountable to myself and my desires. 

Honestly, I have no idea who or where I'd be without all of my coaches throughout this past decade.

Now I'm stepping up to the plate and becoming a coach for others. And all I want to do is help dancers and creatives feel the freedom, empowerment, and fulfillment I have been able to experience throughout my career and life. I want to help artists discover who they are and have the courage to put their hearts on the line. I want to create a safe space for my peoples to shed the weight of pain so they can truly feel alive and thrive.
