Who are your Role Models?

My first Role Models are my parents. They are the epitome of love, creativity, and humility. They taught me the fundamental morals of being a kind person through fairness and honesty. They also supported my dreams of becoming a professional dancer (even though at the time, I didn't know that was even a possibility.)

At the beginning of my dance career, my role models were Rosie Perez, Tina Landon, Jamie King. I've had many more since, but they were my idols. I never worked with Rosie, but I wanted to be her when I watched her on In Living Color. However, I was very fortunate to work with my other two legendary idols. I learned how to create dance in a multidimensional way. They had this incredible way of overlooking the whole picture without losing sight of the tiny details. They were also highly effective leaders and teachers. The entire team would hang on to every word they said, and excellence was the unspoken aim. They literally were and still are the BEST I've ever had the fortune of working with and learning from.

Now, as I transition into my new career as a teacher, coach, and mentor in the self-development world, I only want to learn from the best. My current Role Models are Brendon Burchard, Tony Robbins, Abraham-Hicks, Bob Proctor, and Jim Rohn, to name a few. Their books and inspirational videos are my way of learning and absorbing their wisdom. To become as fluent and incredibly impactful as them is the DREAM. Meeting and working with them would be the cherry on top.

  1. So again, who are your Role Models?
  2. Why is it important to learn from them?
  3. How can you apply their knowledge, experience, and wisdom to your life?

There's no need to go on this journey alone, working hard to "figure it out." When we consciously have Role Models to show us the way, it reminds us of one simple fact... IT IS POSSIBLE.

With lots of LOVE,

Teresa
