What if it's no good?

book connection creating dream enough fear goal good resistance writers block writing Oct 02, 2022

I'm supposed to be writing for my book right now. But nothing is coming together. It's like all of these disjointed thoughts keep popping into my mind, and I can't seem to make it make sense. Uuuuuggghhhh.

I noticed that things seem to flow so effortlessly when I write to you. There's no pressure to "do it right" because it's as if we're in a conversation. A one-sided conversation, but I still feel like I'm talking directly with you.

I know I can use this method to write the book, but my resistance is kicking into high gear. I have an idea, and then it seems like an incomplete thought. If I'm honest, I don't know how I will do it. And the question keeps popping into my mind, "What if it's no good?"

Well, I know I'm not a quitter, and also, I love to run away from resistance. Sooooooo here I am. Scared, I don't know what I'm doing. I'm afraid I don't know how to tell stories on paper. I'm scared it's going to be just okay. I'm worried that I will quit because it's too hard.

I've just started the writing process, and I'm already stuck. Wwwwaaaaaa! Lol.

I needed to write to you tonight to remind myself that I love sharing and connecting with you. To remind me that writing is a creative outlet, and I love doing it. And maybe there's a little bit of asking for your grace in advance if the book doesn't turn out that great. Oh, man!

Maybe I need to get back to us—you and me. And remember to have a conversation and let that be the guide.

Thanks for listening! I'll be back!

With lots of LOVE,
Teresa
