Today's message is a reminder that we are on a JOURNEY.

Yes, we have desires and goals, but what's the point of aiming and working towards them if we're feeling stressed, unfulfilled, unhappy, and struggling to make them happen?

The truth is once we eventually get to the desired outcome, we immediately sense there's "more" or "another level" to attain.

So why not enjoy the unfolding?

Strangely, the phrase "enjoy the process" has lost its meaning. No wonder why it seems most people are living in struggle and hardship.

Why are so many unable to take joy in all of the mess of life?

Two things are going on.

  1. We're too focused on the lack, struggle, and hardship to see and accept the Infinite Blessings that are pouring on us. And because of our ill-intentioned focus, we cannot appreciate the simple things that ARE working out.
  2. We want the outcome so bad we become impatient and frustrated that we're not "there yet.

Great, now that we know what's the problem, how do we get to the part of ENJOYING our JOURNEY?

  1. Gratitude. Gratitude. Gratitude. Start practicing GRATITUDE for what you DO HAVE instead of only noticing what you don't. This one step will TRANSFORM your life. Write down, speak out loud, or think of 1-5 things daily is the only work you need to do. As simple as it is, don't discount this method. It's intensely powerful.
  2. Intentionally ask yourself, "What's the most fun thing I can do today?" Or, "What's something that makes me feel happy?" Asking yourself these types of questions immediately gets you out of your misery. It opens your heart and mind to think a better thought or action step. At first, following through with the idea is irrelevant because it's all about shifting your mind from lack and worry to joy and fun.
  3. Stop saying "yes" when you actually mean "no." If you're unsure if you want to participate in someone else's plan or creative endeavor, you can politely say, "Let me think about it, and I'll get back to you soon." Ultimately it's okay to say "No, thank you." This will get you out of doing things that don't light you up.

These are a few ideas to get you back on the train of ENJOYMENT.

Again if we're not having fun, what's the point?!

Here's to having more FUN, LAUGHTER, and REJOICING our lives on our way to our DREAMS!

With lots of LOVE,

Teresa
