Redefining Responsibility.

choices co-creator decision deliberate creator empowered life ownership responsibility Nov 16, 2021

I thought I knew what taking responsibility for my life meant, and then I had my mind blown today.

"It is a declaration, not an assertion, that is, it is a context from which one chooses to live." ~ Rob Reynosa

Meaning to be responsible is a choice, not a demand or an "I have to." This reframe is super powerful because it means we can choose how we move forward in life with what we've got at any time. It puts us in the driver's seat not out of guilt or pressure but out of deliberately creating the next step.

It also means that we can not demand others to be in their power by owning their life. Some people are not ready to take the helm of their lives. This is not a judgment. It's part of the reality of being human. Everyone is in a different internal place on their own journey of self-discovery.

This one shift in redefining the word responsibility releases the pressure we put on ourselves and others purely by knowing we All Ways have a CHOICE.
