From LA to God's Hands.

La La Land!

You are a strange place. The hopes and dreams you hold in the minds of many.

You represent the home of the rich and famous, where people get to declare their success and status for others to applaud and admire.

Dreams from around the world know to come to you for the chance to have their name written in lights. "Pick me! Pick me!" They say. Desperate for fortune to come their way.

There's so much swirling in the air. It's full of sunshine, glitz, and the aroma of someone getting their lucky break today.

The breeze also carries with it broken hearts and broken dreams. The side of LA most people are afraid to admit.

LA, you carry this power to make people believe in a higher power or feel like they've been trampled on by the careless hierarchy.

One day you shower a person with all this love and admiration, a.k.a ass-kissing. And the very next day, you spit them out because they didn't behave as the critical masses expected.

You are so wonderful and cruel. One day you're loving, and the next, your cold as ice.

LA, you are an enigma. The grasp you have on the many is unlike most places on Earth. 

People wrap their whole identity in your name with your name tag worn like a badge of honor. And the ones that found a way to make it to your land cherish you and put you on a pedestal. It's as if you've made dreamers believe they can't make it without you.

But just like all the glitz and glam, it's all just a show with a tiny grandmaster wizard standing behind a curtain claiming things it can't give you.

The truth is, you have given us so much hope, but times are changing. And changing fast.

You see, LA, people don't need you like they used to. People are starting to open their hearts and accomplish their dreams without you. 

You are not the owner of dreams anymore.

WE are the owner of our dreams. And we have found our power to create them without you.

It's not to say we don't appreciate all you've given, because we are grateful. It's just time to move in a new direction by putting our dreams in the one place where success and fulfillment are guaranteed... in God's Hands.
