Captain of your ship.

If there was one thing I could impart to you today, it would be the powerful truth of Mr. Rohn's statement.

I take this quote to mean stop focusing on other people's messy lives and choices, and focus on cleaning up YOUR side of the street.

We're in the highlighted times of "socially acceptable accountability," aka Cancel Culture. As long as the majority agree on what's morally "right" and "wrong," then you better make sure you're playing along with the "virtuous clan."

But this line of social agreements doesn't actually create the space for things to get better or keep anyone "accountable."

It just creates more egoic battles for power in the name of "truth and justice." And in turn, makes for a lose-lose outcome, even if one side thinks they "won."

The only thing we CAN be accountable for is OURSELVES. PERIOD.

So when we talk about having a better life, that means we can let ourselves off the hook from the m(asses) ever-changing moral whims and start doing the REAL life work.

We can then begin to create GENUINE ACCOUNTABILITY. The kind that doesn't need validation or approval from anyone else but ourselves.

We claim we are the "captain of our ship," put our hands on the wheel, and steer in the direction of legitimate positive change in our lives.

And becoming the "captain" is the most essential task we will ever undertake.

There will NEVER be a better life without this ONE STEP.

It means we don't leave our lives to chance and chaos. We have complete control and say over who we are, where we want to go, and what we want to achieve.

It also means if there's something we don't like, we can CHANGE IT. IT's not up for debate who's going to do the changing. WE ARE.
WE LEAD. OTHERS FOLLOW.
WE SEE AHEAD. THEY ARE BLIND.
WE STAND IN OUR POWER.
WE SHOW THE WAY.
WE DARE TO DREAM.
WE LOVE LIFE.

Let's go, CAPTAINS! It's our time!
