Ba Ba Rebirth Day

Today is in honor of my little Bentley. It's his Rebirth Day today, May 25, 2016.

As an adult, he is my first dog. And when I first met him, I was scared of dogs. And boy did he love to bark! This little brown and white chihuahua with long skinny legs yelling at me when I walked in the door had me petrified.

In a very short time span, Bentley helped me discover a new love in my life, the love of animals. This apple-headed fur baby changed my life forever.

He opened my heart to a being outside of normal human relationships. And for the first time in my life, I felt like I was responsible for this loving creature. Which I had never been responsible for anything other than myself.

Ba Ba allowed me to step into a "mother" role, and I had no idea I had it in me. My love, Gabe, Bentley, and our Dazy Girl became a family. We later added Jagger, Stanley, and Keats. But it all started with B.

He was the King of the house. And B had this incredible talent for singing to certain songs that he liked. He was grumpy, Alfa, and incredibly loving.

He taught me about love and trust.

It was an absolute honor to love and be loved by him.

Ba Ba, the King, my heart, I love you more than words can express.
