Now that you can clearly see which end of the spectrum you fall under, this post is mostly dedicated to TYPE B PERSONALITIES.

Sorry Type A's! You most likely have your Productivity wheelhouse well organized and thoroughly planned. But I ask that you continue reading to gain better insight into working with Type B's, hopefully!

As a Type B (ME!), I have struggled with getting things done and then add in getting things done on time. Mostly because we love the moment to FEEL "right" before we go to work on our Dreams. But I'm here, to tell the truth. The FEELING of being MOTIVATED to act is NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!

The great news is people like us can use Type A tools for our benefit!

Here are 3 Tools you can use to overcome good ol' fashioned PROCRASTINATION.

  1. DECIDE. Get clear on your goal, aim, desired result, outcome, and then DECIDE with certainty that THIS is your AIM. Say "YES" to the determined outcome.
  2. COMMIT. Make an agreement with yourself to show up and do the work. The definition of COMMIT says, "devote as by a pledge." I love this because it implies putting your heart and soul into your goal.
  3. CONSISTENCY. This is KEY to unlocking the hold-up in your life! This means your work is to Show Up, Show Up, Show Up again, Show Up some more, Show Up again, Show Up another time, again, and again, and AGAIN!

That's it. No secret sauce to share, only usable tactics to make incredible changes and progress in your life!

Now, as a Type B, because we love to FEEEEEEEL "inspired" before we take action, it's up to you to APPLY the tips above that will help you GET THINGS DONE!

So here's some homework. You didn't think I was going to let you off the hook, did you?!

Think about ONE project, goal, aim, desire, Dream you've been procrastinating on that you keep saying, "I wish I could do THAT one day."

DECIDE with clarity the aim.

Then COMMIT to a Day or Date (preferably TODAY or the latest, TOMORROW) to start, how often you're going to show up for it (daily or weekly), and how much time you're going to spend on it (10 -20 mins, 1 hour, 4 hours).

Next, be CONSISTENT. Show Up no matter how you FEEL.

Once you do all of that, could you email me? Yes, I mean it! Please email me and tell me about your plan.

When I DECIDED to write this blog every day for the next 30 days, I said it in a public forum, and I know that helped me stay accountable.

So again, email me, and I will be your accountability buddy! ;)

With lots of LOVE,

Teresa
