Words Don't Teach.

It's one thing to know something intellectually and another to KNOW through experience.

As Abraham-Hicks likes to say, "Words don't teach." And this is especially true for spiritual concepts.

Back in 2017, I asked myself, "What does Faith mean?" Of course, I knew what it meant in my mind, and I even looked up the definition, which by the way, is extremely helpful. Yet KNOWING what Faith truly means, we have to experience it.

So I went on a quest.

Little did I know it would be one of the best ventures I've ever discovered.

Some of the guideposts that I found along the way are:

  • "When we make a proclamation, it is still God proclaiming."
  • "Thought becomes a transmitter for Divine Power; therefore, the thought must always be kept free from confusion."
  • "Faith is an unquestioned acceptance."

I'm not sure where I found these Truths, but I wrote them down and read them frequently as a Re-Minder of how Faith works.

And again, it's one thing to understand them in the mind, and it's another to Know their Power.

Once I began my journey to knowing Faith, Life seemed to bring in a perfect opportunity to practice what I was learning.

I'll spare you the details that don't really matter. But what IS important is figuring out the PROCESS.

  1. Through the faithful practice, I kept getting confronted with what I DIDN'T WANT, which allowed me to get CLEAR on what I DID WANT. This duality is part of the practice and is the first step.
  2. Once I got super clear on the desire, I had to learn HOW TO LET IT GO. What helped me understand the concept as I was putting it into practice was this remarkable little book called "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" by Deepak Chopra. And specifically, it is the sixth spiritual law, the Law of Detachment. Now, this is something only you can do. No one else can do it for you.
  3. Then the final part of experiencing Faith came in the feeling of FREEDOM. I felt completely and utterly FREE. Free from worry, care, stress, concern, disappointment, regret, guilt, resentment, defense, and most of all, NEED. At that point, I easily walked away, KNOWING it didn't matter if I got what I wanted or not because I was completely detached from the outcome. If I got what I wanted, I was happy. And if I didn't get what I wanted, I was happy. No strings attached.

I can't stress this enough. Words don't teach. Only experience does.

And what I'm sharing with you is life-changing. It's worth the leap. But again, don't take my word for it. Go discover it for yourself.

By the way, I ended up getting what I wanted and more.
