Apr 21, 2021These are my TOP 3 LESSONS I learned over the past 25+ years as a professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher in the entertainment industry.
- ONLY do it because you LOVE it. (Whatever "IT" is.) If you're in the dance industry to get recognition, bragging rights, and to validate yourself, then you're in it for the wrong reasons, and the pain of the uncertainty will eventually come crashing down. With LOVE and PASSION as your fuel, you will be able to weather the storms that are bound to happen.
- SHOW UP. No matter how many times you get rejected or unappreciated build the muscles of TENACITY, RESILIENCE, and FOCUS. Grace comes to those who are RELENTLESS. Show up. Show up again, and again, and again, and again. Then show up some more. And keep showing up. Then show up. Show up. Again. Show up again and again and again and again... You get it. SHOW UP.
- GIVE 1000%. Greatness and success come from GIVING MORE than wanting an expected outcome. Freely feed the Universe your gifts and talents without the need for a return.
Whatever you LOVE to do, SHOW UP on 1000%.
It's literally that simple. Don't complicate your success.
