Path to Greatness

I listened to a video of Oprah Winfrey giving a speech about finding your lane. And this piece of the Puzzle of Life is one of those things most people struggle with.

We are so inundated with comparisons, views, followers, and likes that we keep playing the Life Game by other people's standards of "success." We think that if that road works for them, it must mean it will work for us.

We even take on other people's dreams as our own and don't realize our path is way better than theirs. But we torture ourselves by thinking, "That's what my dream looks like." Yet we're looking at someone else live it.

Being in this unconscious state of comparison creates a lot of pain and suffering because we don't understand why "that dream" isn't happening for us. If we only understood that person living "our dream" is just a reflection of what is possible. They are the example, not the goal.

And unfortunately, we put so much weight and attachment on needing our life to mean something significant that their success must be the way we will achieve our success. So when we get to their level, then we've made it. Yet desiring someone else's life and wanting their success leads us down a course that isn't ours.

If you only knew YOU are meant for YOUR OWN PATH TO GREATNESS. But this path requires making space for YOUR Life's Purpose. And you can't do that if you're attached to someone else's.

Let go of how everyone else is "doing it." Instead, focus on what YOU enjoy creating. Focus on what lights YOU up. Focus on what feels good to YOU.

Your road to success might not even fully make sense at the moment. Your only job is to create out of love and happiness. And if that means your dream changes, then so be it. Or maybe you fall back in love with the journey to the dream.

There's no one right way to get there because you get to create your lane as you go.
