Officially Old.

I have officially become a part of the older generation.

I was watching Madonna music videos, and it's so apparent that we no longer have that level of artistry in the music industry.

And because I recognize I'm labeling the past as better than our now, I have officially gotten old! lol

And that's okay. There's nothing wrong with being attached to past movies, music, artists, tv shows that left a lasting impression.

And at the same time, with the newer generations, I wonder if there is that level of greatness when it comes to music artists. Movies yes. TV yes. But music seems a bit iffy. Or again, maybe I'm just getting old?! lol

There are legendary artists still creating and putting their work out, but even someone like Madonna doesn't have the same impact she once had. 

Maybe there's too much noise and so much scattered information vying for our attention? Nothing seems to hit, or maybe things do, but the feeling is over so quickly because our attention span is the same as a goldfish.

Or maybe I'm not paying attention?

All I know is we used to have MEGA-SUPERSTARS. And now there are people I've never heard of having MILLIONS and MILLIONS of followers. Is everyone famous? And does greatness matter anymore?

Whatever GREATNESS means to you, I think it's worth discovering. Maybe you know what it is, and you're on your way? Or perhaps it would do us good to spend more time striving for GREATNESS than consuming fleeting sparks of mediocrity?
