NOT My Last Dance.

alive dreams gifts greater future knowing manifesting passion past talents Mar 14, 2022

Have you seen the Michael Jordan documentary series called the Last Dance?

They intercut a present-day version of Michael talking about his professional basketball career with the footage of his glorious era.

The thing that fascinated me the most was his recent interviews.

As he's sharing past stories, I read his body language and noticed he was a bit bloated in his eyes and face. I even think his eyes were a bit bloodshot too. And there was some sort of drink by his side the entire interview. Not to mention a bit of an edge to how he was speaking.

I bring this up because the whole documentary was about his PAST. And what looked like the most extraordinary years of his life. He was literally the G.O.A.T.

And those years ended over 20 years ago.

So what intrigues me the most is this: Has he been able to find another love, passion, or obsession since his glory days?

From what I could see, my guess would be, "No."

Not that I know if that is true or not, but that is the feeling I got from the documentary.

Michael just didn't look "alive."

And if I'm honest, I can relate to part of his story.

You see, I LIVED my passion for dance to its most full-out version I could have ever experienced. And for that, I am truly grateful.

Now, my love for dance has shifted, and I'm in the process of figuring out what's next.

What seems to be a bit challenging is having the same experience of KNOWING dance was my everything! And now, I want to be able to feel that way again about whatever is the next phase of my life.

No offense to MJ, but I don't want to remember life as an "I used to dance. I lived my dreams." Instead, I want to discover new passions and experience new and grander dreams coming true. I want to feel the KNOWING I once had with dance and in this new phase of my life.

I do know once I lock into whatever I'm meant to do, it will be game over. I want to be ALIVE again!

Because I know this is NOT my Last Dance.

With lots of LOVE,
Teresa
