Navigating the "New Norm"

You know we're not all going to agree on EVERYTHING.

So how do we navigate forward together? Especially now that it seems there's an enormous gap between "sides."

Interestingly C19 and the state of the world revealed and bubbled up what was already there. We just didn't know it. Let me rephrase. I didn't know how blissfully unaware I was. So maybe you're like me discovering a "new reality," or already knew, or you have no idea what I'm talking about, which is totally okay. There's no judgment here.

No matter which side of the spectrum you're on, I'm feeling in a powerful way: THERE'S NO GOING BACK.

So if we can't go backward and act like life is back to "normal," how do we collectively move forward?

 What I realize now is I'm connecting with others on 3 different levels.

1. I'm beginning to connect with new and old friends/ people who see, understand, and feel the same as I do. This is great because the past year of isolation combined with rewiring my beliefs has left me feeling like I'm the ONLY one. So it's been lovely to find a global community to connect with.
2. Then there are friends and family who don't agree or believe the same things, yet we have mutual respect and love. We have the space to talk about our differences and still find love and acceptance. And that feels great.
3. Last but not least, and the most difficult to navigate are the friends and family who don't believe the same and pull away. To be honest, it can be a mutual pulling away, but that feeling is still a painful one. If others choose to step away from us, the hope is we can release them with love. We acknowledge that everyone isn't going to keep going with us, and that's totally okay. We find peace and solace knowing they are free, and so are we. And we trust God's Timing.

As I share my experiences with you, I hope it helps you navigate your relationships moving forward.

And I think we can use all the help we can get!
