Levels of Happiness.

Are you happy?

How do you measure it?

I think there are three plateaus of happiness.

  1. The first level of happiness is down in the drama, struggle, and fight, where happiness is a rare and unusual event. Next, the thinking mind and ego work together to "figure out" how to get out of one mess to the next. And if there seems to be some relief and ease, the ego kicks back in to create a whole new drama. This becomes a repetitive cycle until some form of awareness cracks the wall of limiting beliefs.
  2. The second level of happiness is an oscillating place of old beliefs and habits creeping in right when we start to let go of "making things happen." We get longer stretches of fulfillment, things begin to happen with less effort, and there's a sense of knowing life is going in the right direction. And then BOOM! Some unexpected setback hits out of nowhere! This is because there's still room to clean up the enticing feelings of resistance that make us feel alive. But at this level, we know negativity doesn't give us the same satisfaction, even if it gives us a little jolt.
  3. The third level of happiness is full of this quiet, satisfying, peaceful bliss. There is no reason the feeling is there. It's a knowing that you and I are in complete harmony with All That Is. We feel and know that external conditions do not matter or compare to this Eternal connection. It is our Truest experience of Who We Really Are in physical form. Nothing can touch it. And from this place, Life All Ways works out miraculously. There's also the understanding that Life ebbs and flows, so if a dip happens to show up, the emotional triggers don't go off because it's lost its power.

The work now is to ask yourself at which level are you experiencing happiness? From there, you can actively move towards the desired level of happiness of your choosing.

Re-Member this will be a constant practice, so if you bump into some negativity, that's okay. It's a part of the process.

Godspeed, my friend!

With lots of LOVE,
Teresa
