Ego's Fury.

Being a human is so strange.

We are spiritual beings in a human body, and it seems we have forgotten so much of Who We Really Are.

We have forgotten we ARE pure, unconditional Love. And because we have buried this Truth away, we end up impulsively reacting and lashing out in anger or frustration.

These fears, created by our ego, have ruled us long enough. Don't you want to be a happy, productive, positive person? 

Look, I know there's no such thing as perfect. But isn't it better we at least attempt to go for the gold instead of settling for whatever life throws at us?

If you're like me, and I know you are, you and I don't want to settle and accept "that's just the way I am." Yes, and no. Yes, to all of the qualities that fill you and others up. And no to all of the things that bring you and others down.

This doesn't mean we don't give ourselves some grace to stumble as we're moving towards our better selves. But also we can improve by recognizing when we're being lazy about the inner work. And realizing when we're giving into our ego's fury, we always have a choice to keep it going or turn it down, even in the middle of a word vomit explosion.

Okay, now let's take a deep breath. Know that all is well. Understand we can NOT control others, ever. And let it all go. No need to hold onto needing to be right. It's okay if they "win." Because we understand that our urge to win above all else is not really winning in the long run. Especially if the ego is running the show, that means we've already lost.

So again, being a human is so strange. And at the same time, incredibly interesting, fulfilling, and exciting.

Moving forward, let's do our best to recognize when the ego is in charge of us so we can do the inner work to release us from its tyrannical grip. But, the bottom line, we can do better.
