Does It Matter?

Not gonna lie. Nothing really matters. Not to sound nihilistic, even if it sounds that way. Lol.

I felt like I didn't want to write tonight and thought, "It doesn't matter. No one will care if I show up in their inbox or not."

And maybe this is true, or maybe it isn't. However, it matters to me. And that's the point of all of Life.

Do what matters to you. Also, there's nothing you have to do. I know it might not always feel like that, but that's because obligation and guilt are more important than your wants and desires. It takes practice to free yourself from other people's selfish claims on your life.

I sense there's a question about being responsible to others. For example, I have a responsibility to my doggies. I love them so much and will do almost anything to help them feel fulfilled and happy. Yes, I am responsible for their well-being, yet there's not an ounce of obligation or guilt. They matter to me on so many levels. It's easy to choose them and make them a priority.

So next time you're at a crossroads of what to do or not to do, pick the option that sounds the most fun or fulfilling, and that is the right answer. You get to create every aspect of your life, even the meaning you give things. And your life is a culmination of meaningful moments that only matter to you.
